Whatever size your organisation might be, start thinking about what you can put in place to care for wellbeing.

Late last year, Workplace Wellbeing SA ran a series of workshops in collaboration with Barossa Australia to raise awareness and educate growers on how they could look after themselves. They also ran two workshops this year with 15 wine companies to teach them ways that businesses can support wellbeing in the workplace.
“I’m asking growers with a lot of wisdom, a lot of years, to consider something that’s probably a little bit foreign to them, around wellbeing and how they’re feeling and functioning,” said CEO, Rebecca Weatherill. “And I got such great engagement, so that was really awesome.”
Weatherill acknowledged that whilst what some of the big wine companies are doing in the wellbeing space would not be achievable for smaller businesses, there are still measures that can be taken in businesses of all sizes.
“What I’m trying to do is allow whatever size the organisation might be, to start to think about what some of those things are that they can put in place that also communicates the shared responsibility of wellbeing in the workplace, because it is shared – employers certainly don’t have to fix everything. But providing a healthy environment is going to go along way to helping their team to be more aware of their own levels of wellbeing.”
